For filling, bottles are first raised by a hydraulically controlled bottle carrier and pressed against the sealing cone at the filling valve. The valve sleeve moves to the stop within the valve body, thereby opening the product outlet. The air inside the bottles is discharged via an air pipe, creating a vacuum inside the bottle equivalent to the vacuum above the product level in the tank. The product flows into the bottles by gravity until the fill level reaches the air pipe. The bottle is then lowered, closing the product outlet.
