This machine has been used for several years. The machine has been inspected, tested, and operates 100% as intended.
The removal of slag is a labor-intensive task, often still performed using a hammer and chisel. Alternatively, an electrically powered handheld machine may be used. Due to the heavy workload involved—both for the operator and the handheld machine—these devices need to be replaced regularly. This leads to high operational costs, increased waste production, and potential health issues for the operator.
Manual slag removal is time-consuming and burdensome for both the operator and the machines, resulting in elevated costs and wear. The DS600 and DS1200, specially developed by Q-Fin, automatically remove slag after plasma or oxy-fuel cutting. These machines can be easily integrated into any production line, ensuring the removal of slag before the product proceeds to the deburring machine for edge rounding.
The removed waste material is collected in a container and can be disposed of as scrap. By separating the slag removal process, contamination within the deburring machine is prevented.

Both models feature an ergonomic design with touchscreen controls for ease of use. Slag is effectively removed by two counter-rotating slag hammer rollers, which strike the product twice per revolution. The result is a flat product, ready for further finishing.
