Product description

The horizontal metal band saw with swivel saw bow enables both perpendicular cutting to the workpiece axis and cutting at any angle within a range of 0° to 60°.

The material to be cut can be fed either manually or by any mechanical feeding system, while the saw feed occurs automatically.

The blade guides are equipped with special carbide plates and bearings, which significantly affect the guidance of the saw blade, its service life, straightness, as well as the accuracy and quality of the cut.

The saw bow features a rigid construction made of profiled cast iron, ensuring high stability and low vibration during cutting. The bow is fitted with a control panel for operating the machine.

The drive from the electric motor to the saw blade’s drive wheel is via a worm gear. The saw blade is tensioned over two cast-iron wheels and guided by a manual tensioning mechanism as well as adjustable rolling and sliding carbide blade guides.

Inside the machine is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump, increasing the blade’s service life and improving cutting performance.

The lowering speed of the saw bow (cutting speed) is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder, while the feed rate is set using the machine’s control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 36 and 72 m/min.

When the saw bow reaches its lowest position (after cutting through the material), the saw blade drive is automatically switched off.

Safety is ensured by:

- Saw blade guards
- Microswitches that stop the motor when the cutting cycle is completed or a guard is opened
- Automatic machine shut-off in the event of saw blade breakage
