CORMAK HBS275 Band Saw for cutting pipes, profiles, and bars is widely used in all locksmith workshops where precision, quality, and cutting speed are essential. The model is equipped with a swivel arm ranging from 0-60°, and the saw guides are based on carbide inserts. The frame construction ensures precise and quiet operation.

Machine Features

This horizontal metal band saw with a swiveling arm enables cutting on a plane perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle from 0 to 60°. The workpiece can be manually fed or handled by any mechanical device, while the tool feed is automatic. The blade guides are equipped with special carbide pads and bearings, significantly improving blade guidance, service life, straightness, accuracy, and cut quality. Carbide guidance greatly reduces wear on both the machine and the saw blade. The machine features an efficient coolant pump with a closed-circuit coolant system.

The arm of the saw is made from a single cast iron piece, and together with the 27 mm-wide cutting blade, allows for full serial cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and is fitted with a quick-release clamp. The blade guides are outfitted with hard metal — carbide inserts — and a rolling bearing system. These CARBIDE INSERT GUIDES are responsible for the precision and straightness of the cut.

The cast iron work table, fixed to the base, comes with a swivel arm and a separate control panel. During the cutting process, the primary cutting movement is the movement of the cutting blade, while the arm descends as the feed stroke. The descending speed of the arm (cutting speed) is regulated using a hydraulic cylinder.

Feed speed is adjusted on the saw’s control panel. You can select between two blade speeds: 37.5 or 75 m/min. Once the arm reaches its lowest position (after cutting the workpiece), the saw blade drive switches off automatically. Safety is ensured by blade covers and micro-switches that stop the motor at the end of the cutting cycle or when any guard is opened. Additional protection includes automatic shut-off of the saw if the blade breaks.

The machine is powered by a worm gear motor.

The motor with a thermal fuse protects against overheating during operation.
