It was previously used at BMW for clear coat application on luxury car bodies and, with its 40,000 operating hours, it has a considerable amount of working life behind it. The robots at BMW operated on a rail system, which is why the controller features a large additional amplifier. A second auxiliary amplifier is used for driving the shoulder-mounted motors for gear pumps; however, these motors are not installed. The rail motor would be connected directly to the robot. The cable length between the robot and the controller is 10m and features plug-in connections at the controller—this is also a notable feature. We can assist with transportation and installation. The robot, together with its controller, is fixed transport-ready on a special pallet measuring 2500x800x1600mm. It is currently configured as a left-arm, left-handed version. It is equipped with line tracking. However, this configuration can easily be changed without mechanical modifications. The robot was never used and is therefore in like-new condition. At BMW, these robots operated on a rail. For this reason, the controller is equipped with a large additional amplifier. The corresponding motor is included and can simply be connected directly to the robot itself, allowing for direct mounting onto the carriage. Another notable feature of this robot is the built-in motor in the shoulder, which is used to control a gear pump. This allows for precise dosing on the robot without issue. This means you have 10 m of cable, e.g. routed through a drag chain from the rail, and then another 10 m, also pluggable, to the controller. This is another special feature. We provide a 1-year commissioning warranty. We can assist with transport and installation. The robot is mounted together with the controller, transport-ready, on a special pallet measuring 2500x800x1600mm. Currently, it is configured as a right-arm, right-handed unit, but this can be easily changed without any mechanical modifications. The unit is still located at our customer’s site, but can be viewed under power at Paintrobotics, given serious interest. For this, we would arrange to transport the unit from Frankfurt to our facility.
