Due to the horizontal feed section and the weight of the scrap, it falls down into the loading chamber and into the cutting area. The scrap is compacted against the front wall and cut by the horizontally moving tool carrier through the blades on the end wall. As the tool carriage moves horizontally, the processed material is pushed out through the blades at the front of the chamber. When returning to the rear position, the loaded scrap shifts by its own weight into the interior of the shear.
