The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compact materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. The machines are characterised by a robust design that ensures consistent briquette quality during continuous operation. The compaction process is achieved solely by hydraulic pressing force without the addition of any binding agents. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.

The standard silo has a capacity of approx. 0.5 m³. Silos with larger capacities or special containers for installation below an existing extraction and filtration system as a complete disposal unit are also available. Depending on customer requirements, MPP NEM single units can be combined to form a system. The chip container of the press is loaded manually, via conveyor belt, dust extractor, or with a tipping bin cart. For fully automated operation, using a lifting and tipping device in combination with a crusher is recommended. The briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series are designed for producing briquettes from homogeneous material.

Depending on the model, the briquette length is between 40 and 80 mm and the diameter is 50, 65, or 70 mm, depending on the type. For emulsion recovery, the briquetting press can be equipped with a collection tray, allowing coolants, cutting fluids, and lubricants to be collected and reclaimed. Non-ferrous metal chips up to a length of approx. 20 mm are filled into the briquetting press hopper. An agitator installed at the bottom of the container prevents bridging and moves the material into the pre-compactor chamber. In this chamber, a hydraulic slider pre-compacts the material and pushes it into the press block. The main press cylinder compresses the material against a vertical slide until the set press pressure is reached. The vertical cylinder then lifts, and the finished briquette is ejected.
