The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compress materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. These machines are characterised by their robust construction, ensuring consistent briquette quality in continuous operation. The compaction process operates without the addition of binding agents—only hydraulic pressing force is applied. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.
The standard silo has a capacity of approx. 0.5 m³. Silos with larger capacities or special containers for installation beneath existing extraction and filtration systems, as part of a complete disposal unit, are also available. Depending on customer requirements, individual MPP NEM machines can be combined into a system. The chip container of the press can be loaded manually, via conveyor belt, by means of an extractor or using a tilting container trolley. For systems requiring fully automatic operation, the use of a lifting and tipping device in combination with a shredder is recommended. The MPP NEM series briquetting presses are designed for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.
The length of a briquette is, depending on the model, 40 to 80 mm, and the diameter is 50, 65, or 70 mm, depending on the type. For emulsion recovery, the briquetting press can be equipped with a catch pan. In this way, coolants, cutting fluids, and lubricants can be collected and recovered. Non-ferrous metal chips up to approx. 20 mm in length are filled into the storage bin of the briquetting press. An agitator installed at the bottom of the bin prevents bridging and feeds the material into the pre-compaction chamber. In this chamber, a hydraulic slide compresses the material and pushes it into the press block. The main press cylinder compresses the material against a vertical slide until the set pressing pressure is reached. Afterwards, the vertical cylinder moves up and the finished, stable briquette is ejected.
