When installed outdoors, the load capacities must be reduced to account for wind and snow loads. The subfloor must be made of concrete, level, suitable for doweling, and able to bear the applied loads. The floor conditions, load-bearing capacity, and any necessary official permits must be checked and ensured by the customer. The upright frames must be anchored to the floor on site; wall anchoring is neither required nor recommended. According to German professional liability association guidelines, it is recommended that the uprights have at least 500 mm of clearance above the top storage level.
