Roller glue application units for edge banding machines require regular maintenance, care, and cleaning. Trapped chips, burnt glue residues, and other foreign objects negatively affect the uniformity and thinness of glue application. This is true for EVA hot-melt adhesives and especially for the use of PUR adhesives. When the glue pot remains in the machine, poor accessibility limits cleaning efficiency. If the unit is removed—which is quick and easy for most manufacturers—rapid cooling prevents thorough cleaning. In addition, a stable holder for the still-hot glue pot and a drive for the glue roller are often lacking.

With this easy-to-operate device, routine cleaning and maintenance can be conveniently performed by the operator or maintenance staff themselves.
