Machine Features This horizontal metal band saw with a swiveling arm allows for cutting perpendicular or at any angle between 0 and 60° to the material axis. The workpiece can be fed manually or with any mechanical device, while the saw blade feed operates automatically. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide inserts and bearings, which greatly improve blade tracking, longevity, straightness, and the quality of the cut. Carbide blade guides significantly reduce wear on both the machine and the blade. The machine is equipped with a high-performance coolant pump with a closed-cycle cooling system. The saw’s arm is cast from a single piece of cast iron, and, combined with a 27 mm wide band saw blade, it is fully suitable for serial cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vice is mounted on an adjustable bed with a quick-release clamp. Blade guides are equipped with carbide inserts and rolling bearing systems. It is the CARBIDE BLADE GUIDES that ensure cutting precision and straightness. The upper part of the base is shaped to form a tray for collecting coolant and chips generated during the cutting process. To the base, a sturdy cast iron work table with a swiveling arm is mounted, along with a control panel on a separate arm. During cutting, the main cutting motion is performed by the moving saw blade, while arm feed is via gravity. The speed of arm descent (cutting speed) is adjusted using a hydraulic cylinder. Feed rate is controlled from the saw’s control panel. There are two blade speeds to choose from: 35 and 70 m/min. In the lower end position of the arm (after cutting the material), the drive to the blade is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by saw blade guards and microswitches that stop the motor after the cutting cycle or when any guard is opened. Additional protection consists of the automatic saw shut-off in the event of blade breakage.
