WP ZSK 83 Extruder

The machine is equipped with two control cabinets (for control/heating and a converter for the ABB DC motor), an operator panel, a motor fan, and an Accurate volumetric dosing unit. The scope of delivery includes a total of 3 screw element pairs (not included in the price).

The machine does not have a continuous base frame; in other words, the gearbox and process section share a common base frame, which is fixed to the floor with steel supports. The motor is mounted separately on a steel platform and is connected to the Lenze primary gearbox via a V-belt.

The machine itself dates back to 1979, but the control cabinets along with the ABB converter and the drive motor were replaced after 1996 and now show approximately 56,000 operating hours. The Lenze primary gearbox was replaced in 2011, and the bearings inside the DUO gearbox were also replaced in 2011. Individual process section housings in the melting zone were last replaced in 2011.
