Comment:
The machine was serviced and partially overhauled in our workshop. The following work was performed and parts replaced:
• Disassembly of the press ram, breakdown into individual parts, overhauling the mechanics, replacement of the following plastic wear plates and rails:
o Plastic wear rails left/right below the press ram
o Plastic wear rails left/right above the press ram
o Main plastic wear plate (support plate) centrally under the press ram
• Steel guide rails left/right above in the frame renewed
• Replacement of the entire base plate, four-part, made from wear-resistant HARDOX steel
• Wire feed rails in the press floor newly welded and smoothed
• Replacement of counter knife, two-part, in the frame
• Adjustment of the knife gap to approx. 2.5 mm
• Disassembly of the tie and twisting unit, breakdown into individual parts, overhauling the mechanics, replacement of all groove ball bearings and axial ball bearings of the twisting shafts, wire cutters cleaned and re-adjusted, chains lubricated and tensioned
• Support roller in front of the twisting shafts replaced
• All hydraulic hoses renewed
• Oil and air filters renewed
• Main hydraulic cylinder checked for leaks
• The hydraulic oil is only one year old, was chemically analyzed, is still in good condition and therefore was not replaced; it can continue to be used
• General maintenance carried out
Finally, the press was subjected to a machine test in manual and automatic mode; see video for machine function test.
