The slow-speed side mills of the GSL series are primarily used in injection moulding and blow moulding applications for inline granulation of sprues and defective parts. Thanks to various hopper and extraction systems, the machines can be flexibly integrated into existing installations.

The slow-speed side mills of the GSL 180 series are equipped with a closed rotor of 180 mm diameter. Machines are available in working widths from 120 mm to 430 mm.
The rotor is made up of individual discs, directly connected to the spur gearbox via an oversized drive shaft. This ensures efficient, low-maintenance power transmission.
The material to be granulated can be fed manually, by conveyor, or by robot through the generously dimensioned, soundproof sandwich-type hopper. As standard, the mill is mounted on a low base frame with castors. Material discharge is carried out via a suction tray slid beneath the screen, with a pipe connection for a suction conveyor.
Applications
The slow-speed side mills of the GSL 180 series have been specifically developed for granulating sprues from injection and blow moulding production. Their easy accessibility allows for speedy colour and material changes. The low rotor speed enables the processing of both soft and hard materials, ensuring high material quality with minimal dust generation.
