Fast quality assurance in body-in-white (BIW) production

In addition to countless boreholes, edges, cuts, and transitions also need to be measured in automotive manufacturing. Especially in series inspection, checking boreholes is an extremely time-consuming process. With the EagleEye Navigator, nearly half the time can be saved when inspecting an entire body shell.

Typical labor-intensive steps of the conventional measurement method are completely eliminated: no installation or removal of hemispherical adapters, no material, storage, or handling costs.

Shortened process time and high quality

And that’s not all: using the ZEISS EagleEye navigator immediately shortens the measurement cycle time and simultaneously increases the quality of the pressed parts. In the end, you obtain an exactly analyzable result with precise information on the diameter, position, and shape of the measured element—accurate to the micrometer.
