The WL 8 single-shaft shredder is a proven classic for shredding all types of wood waste. It is used thousands of times worldwide in woodworking facilities, for example. The high quantity of these highly sought-after shredders ensures reliable, well-established technology with the best price-performance ratio. The machines are characterized by their very robust construction, guaranteeing extremely high durability (even outdoors).

Intuitive Operation via Siemens PLC Control with Touch Display

To ensure the electronics are optimally matched to the machine, we design, build, and wire our own control cabinets. We use only high-quality components—from Siemens or Rittal, for example. Intuitive touch interfaces guarantee quick adjustments. Features such as adjustable pusher stroke and stop provide high throughput. The integrated overload protection also prevents damage to the machine.

No Material Bridging Thanks to Freely-Cutting Hopper Design

The hopper performs several functions. It is the entry point for feeding material to be shredded—manually, mechanically, or by conveyor belt. The large opening even allows for the convenient loading of very large pieces. Critical for shredding is the special design, rounded at the front to effectively prevent material bridging. Even with bulky materials, the shredder cuts itself free automatically. Hopper extensions and lids with gas struts are available as options.

Long-Lasting Rotor Bearings Thanks to Offset Design

Rotor bearings must be particularly robust due to the extreme stresses during shredding operations. To prevent dust or foreign materials from entering, we've designed the bearing to be offset from the machine frame. This also makes it very service-friendly and easily accessible.
