Special price – Exhibition machine Garbsen Our machine concept WL 6 The Weima high-performance shredder, with its flexible range of applications, can process all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF materials, plywood, veneer waste, etc.) into fuel chips and achieves, especially with bulky materials, an enormous reduction in volume. Functionality: The machine is equipped with a large feed hopper and can be loaded either via a conveyor belt or by hand. This hopper can be adapted to individual requirements and guarantees continuous and cost-effective material feeding without the need for manual assistance. The hydraulically controlled pusher feeds the wood waste to be shredded into the rotor’s cutting area and is controlled automatically based on load. The internal pusher guides are made of highly wear-resistant plastic (polyamide) and can be adjusted. The hydraulic cylinders are mounted on universal joints to avoid lateral forces on the piston seals. The patented and profiled solid-steel V-rotor has a diameter of 252 mm and operates at a rotor speed of 80-120 rpm. The concave-ground, aggressive, and four-way reversible cutting knives/rotating cutter crowns are fitted in milled knife pockets on special knife carriers. This patented system guarantees, for the first time, a reduction in the cutting gap between counter knife and rotor, high throughput, low energy consumption, and optimal discharge of the shredded material. The screen mounted under the rotor determines the chip size (10—100 mm). On request, a hydraulically opening screen basket is also available. Power transmission from the electric motors is via V-belts to a strongly dimensioned gearbox mounted on the rotor shaft end. Precise cutting with high throughput thanks to profiled V-rotor The V-rotor, specially developed by WEIMA, is universally applicable and made from solid material. Its aggressive material feed, with up to two rows of knives, guarantees high throughput with low power requirement. It can be fitted with hardened cutting knives made of steel in edge lengths of 30 mm and 40 mm. These knives are reversible, which dramatically reduces maintenance costs. Intuitive operation with Siemens PLC control and touch display To ensure that electronics are optimally matched to the machine, we design, build, and wire our own control cabinets. We use only high-quality components – for example, from Siemens or Rittal. Intuitive touch interfaces guarantee rapid adjustments. Functions such as adjusting the pusher cycle or stops ensure high throughput. The built-in overload protection also prevents machine damage.
