Fillers often tend to settle or agglomerate during extended storage or downtime of the dispensing unit. As a result, precise application of the medium is no longer possible. Dispensing systems may clog, and the wear on system components is increased due to the separation of fillers from the binder. Furthermore, there are considerable deviations in the mechanical properties of the dispensing medium.
