TOX Self-Pierce Riveting System Type TZ-VSN
The self-pierce rivet first penetrates all joint materials and pushes the punched slug out of the joining area. With this innovative technology for self-pierce riveting, TOX PRESSOTECHNIK—the specialist for sheet metal joining—expands its product and service portfolio with a forward-looking process. Self-pierce riveting provides an additional mechanical connection for sheet metal that is crucial for lightweight construction as well as for joining hybrid parts and assemblies.
The rivet feeders, tongs, and tool holders are designed to be universally compatible, so that self-pierce rivets with diameters of 4.0 mm and lengths between 3.3 mm and 8.1 mm, as well as self-pierce rivets with diameters of 5.0 mm and lengths between 3.9 mm and 9.0 mm, can be flexibly processed using both TOX hand tongs and TOX robotic tongs.
