The Teradyne Spectrum 8851 test system is a versatile, PC-based testing device designed for testing a wide range of printed circuit boards. Scope of delivery for the Spectrum 8851 includes a Windows PC (W7), LCD monitor, mouse, keyboard, and signal processing devices. The unit is also equipped with a PCIe expansion slot, allowing the connection of external peripheral devices such as data acquisition units. TERADYNE Spectrum 8851 additionally provides software support, featuring an easy-to-use Windows-based user interface. Users can select from a variety of test sequences and tailor the tests to their specific requirements. By centralizing test parameters, users can easily switch between different tests, making it simple to develop a sequence customized for their board. A powerful scripting language enables rapid and efficient development of complex test sequences. The machine includes advanced fault analysis and reporting features, providing detailed analysis of any defects detected during testing. With a test library of up to 65,000 tests, the Spectrum 8851 can be adapted to suit the needs of a broad range of applications. Thanks to its combination of hardware and software solutions, the Spectrum 8851 offers users reliable and accurate testing at a reasonable price.
