The KP 900 Automatic Crosscut Saw is an ideal solution for material preparation in the production of pallets and other wooden packaging products. On average, this saw can process 27–30 m³ of pallet cuttings or approximately 20,000 pallet blocks per 8-hour shift, depending on the cross-sectional dimensions of the processed material. The saw can be operated by one or two operators, depending on the nature of the processed material, which is manually loaded into the machine.

Basic Cutting Modes
1. Manual Mode
You set each cut length by moving the material using the buttons on the panel, or by setting the length value on the digital control panel. Cutting is initiated by a button on the display. This mode is suitable for performing individual sequential cuts.

2. Automatic Mode

a) You set one cutting dimension for the entire length of the input material. Once the cut is initiated via foot pedal, the entire batch is automatically processed to this set dimension. After cutting, the feeder returns to the preset length position for the next material batch. This mode is ideal for producing pallet blocks. Its advantage is the quick switch between different setups during frequent material changes.

b) You set the desired combination of cut lengths for the entire batch. After starting the cut with the foot pedal, the saw automatically cuts the material in these length combinations. Once cutting is complete, the feeder returns to the preset initial position. The machine memory can store up to 10 programs, each with 10 lengths. Programs can be easily overwritten, edited, inserted, or deleted. This mode ensures high material yield and is especially suitable for producing cut pieces for a wide range of packaging products. In automatic mode, you can also set automatic front and rear trimming.

The standard configuration of the saw is LEFT orientation, meaning material flow is from right to left.

An automatic feeding system is included as standard. It is a pusher device running on a precision linear rail with bearings, ensuring long service life of the guide and highly accurate positioning of the workpiece for cutting.

Integrated side and top clamping firmly secure the material on the worktable and against the rear stop during cutting, preventing unwanted movement and ensuring consistently accurate, perpendicular cuts.

A clear LCD touchscreen display enables intuitive and convenient machine operation. All control elements are easily visible, reduce operator fatigue, and provide an excellent overview. Maximum ergonomics and the custom software ensure the operator has full control of the machine.

The infeed worktable before the saw allows the operator to conveniently sort and prepare material before moving it into the machine. This eliminates operator downtime and strenuous material handling. The table is set at an 8° angle and equipped at its end with a safety flap to prevent accidental ejection of material beyond the operator’s reach.

The standard fixed outfeed table is two meters long, partially covered under the cutting area guard. Operators can safely remove cut material without risk from offcuts, wood splinters, or the saw blade. The table is set at an 8° angle.
