Skinetta ASK 450 Strapping Banderole Machine

Machine Purpose

The strapping banderole machines of the SKINETTA series are designed for tightly banding (wrapping) single products or grouped products with polyethylene film. Unlike shrink-wrapping machines, the wrapping film is pulled tightly around the bundle before sealing. This tight fit is the main advantage of the process, resulting in up to 20% lower film consumption.

A particular benefit of the patented SKINETTA tightening system is its infinitely adjustable and precise control.

Sealing (welding) of the film is performed in a minimal space, resulting in a clean seal seam with very small overlaps. By integrating a SKINETTAther or SKINETTAshrink heat tunnel and using a suitably wide film, the film projecting beyond the bundle can be laterally shrunk. This additional step increases the stability of the bundle and prevents individual products from falling out of the sides in appropriately grouped packs. A complete sealing of the bundles by closing, sealing, and side folding is possible with the appropriate additional equipment.

The SKINETTA strapping banderole machine program includes 6 basic types for processing film widths from 25 mm up to 200, 290, 440, 590, 790, and 1250 mm. For increased output, two- to four-lane systems are available in addition to the single-lane version. In the SK series (semi-automatic), the products are grouped by an operator on the machine table. The film insertion and subsequent strapping process are triggered either by a foot switch or a two-hand control. Later full automation is possible (except for type SK 200). In the ASK series (fully automatic), the products are automatically fed, grouped, and then banded via appropriate additional modules. A modular system featuring feeding, grouping, forming, and special equipment—based on over 20 years of experience—allows adaptation to the most diverse customer requirements using proven standard components.
