The use of a photocell in the workpiece area allows measurement of its length, thereby enabling activation of the spray guns when the workpiece enters detection range, and deactivation of the guns immediately after coating is completed. The photocell is provided as standard equipment.
Workpiece identification is carried out using special tags.
Identification plates with holes are mounted on the workpiece hanger.
Based on this, the PLC controller, in conjunction with the photocell, identifies the painted item and activates or deactivates the spray guns at the appropriate moment, resulting in savings of both energy and powder coating material.

Vertical contour detection of the workpiece shape:
The use of light barriers with horizontal sensors enables the PLC to analyze the vertical profile of the workpiece.
The PLC controller calculates the time at which the workpiece should appear in the gun zone; based on this, selective activation or deactivation of the spray guns is possible.
Integration of light barriers with multiple sensors, both horizontally and vertically:
This approach enables precise measurement of the workpiece’s dimensions, which also allows for manipulator control if required.
The benefits of using photocells or light barriers are primarily the savings in powder and energy.
Unnecessary spraying is eliminated in areas where no workpiece is present.
Precise gun control is achieved through the use of light barriers.
