Function Description:
The bale loosening drum was fed with compressed paper bales from which the binding wire had been previously removed. The compacted bale is broken up and loosened by impact plates welded parallel to the conveying direction inside the drum. A spiral welded at an incline to the conveying direction transports the loosened material further towards the drum outlet. Here, it drops via a hopper onto a conveyor belt for further processing.
