Autoclaves are used for sterilizing packaged products that must reach high temperatures (+100ºC) to eliminate or inactivate pathogenic microorganisms.

Static autoclaves: These are suitable for any type of packaging and are used for food products packed in cans, jars, and other flexible materials.

CHARACTERISTICS:

* Temperature and time recorder

CONSUMPTIONS:
- Steam: Maximum flow rate 2,100 kg/h. Approximate consumption 475 kg/cycle.
- Electrical energy in kW: 22 kW
- Cold water in t/h: Flow rate 25 m³/h.
- Compressed air in m³/min: The theoretical requirement to cool the autoclave in the most demanding air use scenario (empty or with a light load) is 2.91 m³/minute.
- Total amount of drainage in tons/day: Depends on the number of cycles. Approximately 0.8 m³/cycle will be drained from inside the autoclave at the end of the cycle. The water output from the heat exchanger will be equal to the water input during cooling, 25 m³/h.
- Total raw water consumption in tons/day: 0.8 m³/cycle at end + 12–16 m³ for cooling.
