When installed outdoors, load capacities are reduced due to wind and snow load.
The subfloor must be concrete, level, suitable for dowelling, and able to absorb the applied loads. Floor structure and load-bearing capacity, as well as any necessary official approvals, must be checked and ensured by the customer.

The uprights must be anchored to the floor on site; wall anchoring is neither necessary nor recommended.
According to professional association guidelines, it is recommended that the uprights have at least a 500 mm overhang above the top storage level.
