Equipment and Technical Data:

The Master delivers precision sanding, embodying the essence of our 75 years’ experience in sanding technology. This means it comes equipped—out of the box—with all the features essential for fast and reliable production of perfect surfaces. Nothing more, nothing less. The core Kündig Master model is fitted with a calibration roller and a sanding pad unit. Its proven construction guarantees decades of high-precision sanding, even across the generous working width of 1350 mm. Additionally, there is an integrated control unit for rapid and intuitive operation.

Sanding Units – Proven Combination
The sanding section uses the tried-and-tested combination of calibration roller and sanding pad. For safe workpiece feed, a parallel-sprung steel pressure roller is located at the machine infeed, while rubber pressure rollers are positioned between the sanding units.

Calibration Unit (R): The calibration unit features a grooved rubber contact roller with proven hardness, ideal for calibration tasks and capable of handling high removal rates if required. The contact roller height is continuously adjustable to compensate for the thickness of the applied abrasive.

Segmented Sanding Pad (E): With the E-Plus configuration, the fine sanding unit features a segmented, electronically controlled sanding pad (instead of a pneumatic system), with a sensor width of 35 mm. This allows for even greater precision when fine sanding workpiece edges. The edge pressure of the sanding segments is automatically regulated, but can also be finely adjusted using the touchscreen, allowing targeted sanding of workpiece edges. The graphite glide covering is also quick and easy to change.

Construction: In terms of robustness and durability, the Master stands equal to our other model ranges. It features the same heavy-duty build quality that makes all our machines long-term investments, ensuring precise sanding results for many years to come.

Upper Section Adjustment: For over 30 years, we have equipped our machines exclusively with upper section adjustment. Why? It is more complex to engineer than table adjustment, but it offers clear advantages: greater weight capacity for workpieces, consistent precision over time, and the benefit of a fixed working height.

Workpiece Dimensions: The opening (clearance) adjustment of the upper section is motorized and finely controlled via touchscreen. Maximum workpiece height is 160 mm. With a 1350 mm working width, the Kündig Master provides the generous and proven industry-standard dimension.
