• Gear grinding can be performed either as single part processing with conical cup wheel (Gleason 30°) or with a cylindrical cup wheel. Grinding wheels can be made of CBN or conventional “dressable” aluminium oxide, depending on cost. Grinding with a conical wheel provides advantages in terms of heat management and contact pattern quality.
