CNC controlled DRILLING, GROOVING, and MILLING on less than 3.3 m² with high processing precision and zero setup time – that’s what the GANNOMAT ProTec stands for.

TECHNOLOGY:
The heavy-duty processing unit is equipped with 13 vertical drilling spindles, 8 double horizontal drilling spindles (6Y & 2X), 1 grooving saw on the Y-axis, and one milling unit. This combination of units allows all common drills/tools to be clamped in one setup, ready to be called up as needed.

This CNC-controlled machining center operates from below and can be configured for throughfeed or return-to-operator modes.

Steel support tables with air nozzles provide the reference surface for horizontal drilling. In conjunction with the robust workpiece clamps and the additional fourth axis on the drilling head, extremely precise drilling is possible. A contactless laser sensor is used to detect the actual workpiece edges (top and bottom), enabling automatic correction/adjustment of the drilling program.

APPLICATION AREA:
The ProTec delivers high-tech performance in both technology and application and was designed as an entry-level CNC machine for small and medium-sized manufacturers, as well as a secondary machine for traditional machining centers to prevent production bottlenecks.

A universal range of applications and high customer benefit through excellent cost-effectiveness are key advantages of the GANNOMAT ProTec. Developed especially for maximum flexibility with batch size one up to serial production, along with high precision and zero setup time.

The GANNOMAT ProTec is designed for comprehensive machining of cabinet side panels, bottoms, rails, back panels, furniture doors, drawer parts, drawer fronts, worktops, frame components, tables, sliding doors, templates, and more.

It can drill dowel holes, line boring, holes for mounting plates, connectors, drawer runners, fittings, cabinet hangers, handle holes, lock holes, etc.

With the grooving unit, back panel grooves (also as rebates) or grooves in drawer fronts can be produced.

The milling unit can perform milling such as (selection): all types of pockets, tambour door guide grooves, spot and cable pass-throughs, handle recesses, plinth cut-outs, recesses for flush handles and furniture locks, lock mortises, ventilation openings in doors, kitchen worktop connections, as well as partial milling, for example for kitchen worktops, furniture frame doors, and much more.

Another application for the ProTec is milling standard contours that are otherwise machined conventionally with jigs and handheld routers.

Sheet materials such as chipboard, solid wood, multi-layer boards, and lightweight panels can be efficiently processed with the ProTec.
