FICEP Flex FRC 1201 Notching System
The Ficep FRC 1201 notching and cutting system is part of the modern Ficep Flex series of notching machines.
This advanced, CNC-controlled notching and cutting system is designed for fast thermal cutting and notching of H / U / L / flat profiles and square tubes. The steel profile is positioned at the cutting location via a pull-type clamp measuring carriage on the roller conveyor. A robotic arm equipped with cutting units (oxy-fuel or plasma) cuts the profiles at the selected position. The finished cut or notched components either fall into a collection tray or are pushed out of the system by the measuring arm.
Thermal cutting units:
The Ficep Flex FRC 1201 profile notching system is equipped for thermal cutting with oxy-fuel and/or plasma. As the plasma power source, a Hypertherm HYPERFORMANCE PLASMA HPR 260 XD is used, suitable for material thicknesses up to 32 mm. Thicker materials or bevel cuts exceeding 32 mm are processed using the oxy-fuel cutting unit.
Transport system:
On the infeed side, ahead of the Ficep Flex FRC notching system, there is a chain drag transverse conveyor with a length of 11,150 mm. The profiles (workpieces) can be conveyed in both directions.
Subsequently, the profiles are transported on a sturdy roller conveyor into the machine using a clamp measuring carriage. The system is designed for profiles up to 12 m in length and thus features 12 m roller conveyors with a roller conveyor width of 1,300 mm on both the infeed and outfeed sides.
For removal of finished components on the outfeed side, there are four chain drag transverse conveyors, each 6,450 mm long, installed after the notching system.
Mitrol CNC control and Pegaso Software:
The system is operated using a modern CNC control unit from Mitrol. This reliable CNC control is developed by Ficep’s in-house manufacturer Mitrol and includes Pegaso software with remote maintenance capability and a data transfer interface.
Torit DCE Filter Unit:
The dust extraction filter unit is supplied by Donaldson Torit DCE.
