Contaminated air is introduced tangentially into the upper cylindrical section, causing the air to spin. Under the influence of centrifugal force, the material is pushed towards the perimeter of the cyclone and discharged through the hole at the bottom. The cleaned air exits the cyclone via the centrally positioned outlet pipe at the top.

The separation efficiency increases with the feed velocity; however, pressure loss and thus energy consumption also increase. Therefore, it is important to find an optimal balance.

We have developed a range of cyclones optimized for filtering large material volumes. They are therefore ideally suited for the wood, paper, recycling, grain, and feed industries.

Below, you can select the cyclone with the correct size based on the air quantity and a typical pressure drop in the range of 1000 Pa.
