Horizontal metal band saw with a swiveling arm enables cutting perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle between 0 and 60°. Power is transmitted from the electric motor to the band drive wheel via a MECHANICAL gearbox motor (not belt driven). The saw band is tensioned over two cast iron wheels using a manual tensioner and guided through a set of bearing rollers.

Material can be fed manually or by any mechanical device; the tool feed operates by gravity, using oil flow in a dual-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The desired arm descent speed is set via a valve regulating oil flow between the chambers. The band guides are equipped with bearing roller sets, which significantly impact blade guidance, service life, straightness, accuracy, and cut quality.

The rigid arm frame is made of PROFILED CAST IRON. The control panel is located next to the arm.

The base is a rigid welded steel sheet body. Inside, there is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The top part of the base is shaped as a tray for coolant drainage and chip collection during cutting. A cast iron worktable with swiveling arm and control panel on a separate arm are attached to the base. During cutting, the main cutting motion is provided by the moving band, while the feed comes from the arm descending. Descent speed (cutting speed) is regulated by the hydraulic cylinder.

In the lower arm position (after material is cut), the band drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade guards and micro-switches that stop the motor at the end of the cutting cycle or if any guard is opened. Additional protection automatically turns off the saw in case the blade breaks.
