In this system, a trim is first performed at the front of the cardboard to remove any potential transport-related damage. After trimming, a minimum edge trim of 30 mm is cut off on each side. Furthermore, if necessary, a corner is cut from the cardboard. This varies depending on the FEFCO type. Finally, the cardboard is creased at the folding lines and conveyed out of the machine.

The resulting waste is removed from the machine by an integrated waste conveyor belt beneath the system. At the machine exit, a conveyor belt transports the waste to a collection container. If the edge trimmings are too long, they must be cut within the system to allow trouble-free removal from the line.

The cut blanks and products are transferred to the folding station, where the cartons are erected and filled. In the Box Closing Unit, the cartons are sealed, labelled, and conveyed out of the system.
