Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Construction Technique
For assembling Teleperm XS systems, control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm depth), IP30 protection rating, are typically used.
The cabinet is equipped with cable strain relief devices with grounding bars.
It is designed to withstand seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply are generally provided from below.
Module racks are installed centrally within the standard cabinet.
To the left and right, there is space for cabinet connection elements and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used to connect peripheral cables.
Other connection technologies, such as Maxi-Termi-Point, are also possible.
Field cables must be shielded and made with twisted pairs.
Buses within a cabinet are implemented with conventional cabling, external bus connections are made via fiber optic cables.
Teleperm XS is suitable for installations with area grounding as well as central earthing systems (ZEP).

Module Racks
Depending on the application, different configurations of module racks may be used.
In the standard version, the module rack features a continuous backplane bus and offers 21 slots.
Expansion racks can be added for large signal counts.

Supported are also variants such as:
- Split racks with two smaller, independent processors (each with 10 slots, individual fans and separate power supply)
- Mixed configurations, such as a compact arrangement of a processor with associated signal conditioning modules
