Areva Teleperm XS Control Cabinet

Standard Construction Technology
Typically, control cabinets of type SC 9422 (2200 x 900 x 400 mm deep), protection class IP30, are used for building Teleperm XS systems.
The cabinet is equipped with cable entry systems with shield rails.
The cabinet is designed to withstand seismic loads.
Cable entry and power supply are generally from below.
Module carriers are mounted in the central part of the standard cabinet.
To the left and right are sections for installing cabinet connection elements and transceivers.
Terminal blocks are used for connecting peripheral cables.
Other connection techniques such as Maxi-Termi-Point are also possible.
Field cables should be shielded and consist of pairs of twisted wires.
Buses are implemented inside a cabinet with conventional cables and outside the cabinet via fiber optic cables.
Teleperm XS is suitable for systems with area grounding as well as for systems with central grounding (ZEP).

Module Carriers
Depending on requirements, various configurations of module carriers are used.
The basic version features a continuous backplane bus and offers 21 slots.
If large amounts of signals need to be processed, extension module carriers can be added.

Supported variants include:
- Split module carriers with two smaller, independent CPUs (each with 10 slots, separate fan, and power supply)
- Mixed configurations, such as compact grouping of a CPU with its associated signal conditioning modules
