"Measurements with X-ray tomography for production and measurement lab
Thanks to the transmission tube – featured for the first time in a monoblock design – a small focal spot is achieved even at high tube power, allowing for fast measurements with high resolution. The monoblock design of the tube, generator, and vacuum generation is implemented for the first time in an open construction. This results in extended maintenance intervals as well as a theoretically unlimited service life. Typical applications include 3D measurements of, for example, connectors, plastic housings and covers, 3D-printed workpieces, packaging, PET bottles and preforms. The TomoScope® XS (utility model) can also be used for tool correction. Based on measurements of the workpiece, both the functionality and wear condition of the tools can be evaluated. For example, the workpieces are checked for signs of tool breakage and burr formation."
