Description:
For sale is a WaterEvent SWT 1000 test chamber from Weiss Technik – ideal for standardized testing of the water protection classes of enclosures or components. With optional equipment, testing according to IPX9K (high-pressure/steam-jet), ISO 20653, and other standards is possible.
High-pressure/steam jet nozzles for IPX9K
Jet nozzles for IPX5/6, among others, according to standards:
ISO 20653, DIN EN 60529, SAE J 575, JIS D 0203,
MIL-STD 810, EN 60068-2-18, IEC 60598-1.
Possible protection classes & tests
The SWT system can cover a wide range of tests (depending on configuration):
Basic configuration: IPX3 / IPX4 tests (spraying or all-direction splash water).
Optional: Higher protection classes up to IPX5 / IPX6 (water jets), and — with suitable high-pressure equipment — up to IPX9 or IPX9K.
Tests are conducted according to standards such as DIN EN 60529 (for IP protection classes) and ISO 20653 (e.g. for vehicle or outdoor applications), depending on requirements and field of application.
Typical areas of application
Typical application scenarios for such a test chamber include:
Electronic devices or enclosures intended for outdoor use or humid environments, e.g. outdoor lighting, control enclosures, power units, panels.
