Thumm SU100 P Electric UV Dip Impregnation System with Exhaust Air Purification System

The electric UV impregnation process is an innovative dip technique for low-voltage round wire windings. In this process, a low DC voltage is applied to the winding and generates the required process heat very efficiently by means of current flow. When the heated winding is immersed, the impregnating agent becomes thin-bodied and can penetrate even the smallest cavities. With continued heating, the impregnating resin gels onto the hot conductors of the winding, and any excess resin can drain off the cooler core after dipping.

The winding is heated and dried by means of electric current. UV lamps cure the photosensitive resin on the core pack.

This eliminates the need for conventional oven drying, saving energy and time. Combined with the use of a low-emission impregnating agent, the process offers a highly positive environmental balance.
