The filter unit

The mobile filter unit Cartmaster IFA is particularly suitable for welding applications with both unalloyed and alloyed steels, galvanized material, and aluminium, where heavy fume generation occurs, thanks to its automatic cleaning system.
It meets all relevant safety requirements for equipment in the welding fume class "W3" (high-alloy steels with alloying elements > 30% nickel-base alloy).
When used as intended, the unit can be operated in recirculation mode, as the requirements for the exemptions according to TRGS 560 are fulfilled.
The specially developed contamination-dependent cleaning system ensures reliable cleaning performance of the filter cartridge, thereby providing optimal extraction performance throughout the entire operating period. Dislodged particles fall into a dust collection drawer for easy disposal.
The powerful screw-type fan guarantees a high volumetric flow even with saturated filter cartridges.

The filter media

A baffle plate serves as a pre-separator for coarse particles. The subsequent filter cartridge (dust class M, separation efficiency > 99%) filters even the finest fumes and dust particles. The factory-applied coating increases cartridge service life.

The extraction arm

The extraction arm can be easily positioned due to the 3 internal spring-assisted joints and remains self-supporting in the set position. A throttle valve integrated into the extraction hood enables adjustment of the volume flow.
