The Steinert WDS is particularly effective in processing dense media or iron ore with particle sizes between 1 µm and 3 mm. In dense media regeneration, the wet drum magnetic separator is primarily used for the recovery of magnetite or ferrosilicon (FeSi). Thanks to the use of powerful neodymium-iron-boron magnets and the special design of the magnet packs, high magnetic field strengths are achieved, enabling separation rates of over 99%.
