Automatic cleaning

The electromagnetic overband magnet with automatic cleaning is installed above the conveyor belt and enables simple and rapid separation of magnetic particles from the conveyed material. This separator is primarily used in applications with high occurrence of ferromagnetic particles, where a separator with manual cleaning would not be suitable due to heavy contamination. Compared to permanent overband magnetic separators, the magnetic field of electromagnetic plates is significantly stronger and deeper. Electromagnetic magnetic separators are excellent for capturing problem-shaped parts (such as screws, nuts, balls, etc.) and heavier iron pieces.

The extremely powerful electromagnetic field also allows separation of ferromagnetic particles located beneath a higher layer of material on the conveyor. Furthermore, the electromagnet provides an exclusive solution for applications where it is necessary to deactivate the magnetic field for operational or maintenance reasons (which is not possible with a permanent magnet).
