The numerically controlled machining center is equipped with a comprehensive range of milling and drilling tools to meet any requirement in the processing of wood and similar materials.

Structural Frame

The structural frame is composed of a particularly robust monolithic steel base, highly ribbed and extremely rigid; the exceptionally wide support surface has been specially designed to give the machine enhanced stability, ensuring lasting precision regardless of working conditions and eliminating the need for anchoring to the floor. The base provides a large and solid support for the moving gantry: the work unit is thus furnished with a balanced, stable, and resilient structure which withstands the highest loads, delivering superior performance and greater accuracy.
The moving gantry is formed from a single robust component that is anchored to the base on both sides and glides on high-quality prismatic guides with recirculating ball carriages. Dual drives along the X-axis ensure maximum performance even under intensive workloads. Movement of the lower moving unit (X-axis) and the working unit along the beam of the moving unit (Y-axis) is accomplished via a helical rack and pinion drive; this provides greater tooth-to-tooth force, resulting in increased acceleration and higher speeds along both the X and Y axes. The specially designed helical gearing reduces mechanical wear and ensures quieter operation.
The vertical Z-axis is driven by a ball screw, ensuring perfect balance under dynamic loading and rapid acceleration/deceleration.
The main milling unit is directly coupled to the carriage of the Z-axis, ensuring absolute finishing quality by completely eliminating vibration. Motion along each axis (X-Y-Z) is achieved using brushless motors powered by static inverters, providing:
- Reduced processing times thanks to improved acceleration
- Increased positioning accuracy with high-resolution encoders
- Automatic zero-point referencing when the machine is powered on due to absolute encoders
- Elimination of general maintenance associated with brushes, as the brushless system is maintenance-free
Axis movement management and overall machine function control is performed via an industrial NS module with digital D
