The BioWelder operates with a thermal welding cycle that does not require laminar airflow. Throughout the welding process, the blade remains sterile and free from endotoxins.

The inserted tubes are cut by a blade and then fused together by the device. The cycle is fully automated and the welded product is only released after completion of the process.

Various programmable tube holders allow welding of thermoplastic tubing of the same type (e.g., C-Flex, Sanipure, Pharmed) with diameters ranging from 6.4 mm (1/4") to 19.0 mm (3/4").
