Multibend 2000 RAS 74.30 folding machine from RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH is a universal CNC folding machine with a swiveling beam, a wide selection of segmented tooling, and a working length of 3200 mm, designed for bending steel sheet (400 MPa). A manual or intelligent crowning system is integrated directly into the folding beam to ensure precise and consistent bending along the entire length. Elastic deformations of the folding beam depend on sheet thickness, strength, properties, working length, and positioning on the support beam. Sensors built into the folding beam detect its actual deformation during the first 10 degrees of bending, after which the system sends a command to actuators adjusting the beam camber. This compensates for beam deflection. The control system stores all parameters for each new bend and utilizes them for subsequent operations. The bending line is always perfectly straight with the specified radius, regardless of metal thickness, length, ductility and strength, segment height, or position in the bending zone.
