This surface grinding machine with fixed table is based on the R.V. 500 model but differs by its long, quadruple-guided column with additional robust column support. Owing to its rigidity and geometric stability, this surface grinder is ideally suited for grinding precision parts of considerable height: single or series parts from toolmaking, molds, dies, gears, and many more.

The nuts of the vertical feed spindle and the alignment pins for axis alignment on this fixed-table grinding machine ensure consistently optimum operating conditions.

Cast iron bed for lasting geometric stability of the grinding machine. Cast iron column protected by bellows and mounted in four adjustable precision bearings, generously sized for this type of fixed-table grinding machine. Three-phase motor with double-shell air cooling to prevent motor overheating during continuous operation and to maintain constant temperature of the motor shaft and bearings.

The handwheel is triple-supported and connected to the spindle via two helical gears. It features a graduated drum supported by an axial bearing, enabling a material removal per pass of 0.01 - 0.02 - 0.03 mm. Rapid traverse per handwheel revolution is 2 mm.

A rotary knob with lever enables programmable micrometric feed of 0.01 - 0.02 - 0.03 - 0.04 mm per pulse, facilitating operation by eliminating the need for a continuous step control.
