The design of the machine allows the user to maintain an optimal workflow, even with minimal space requirements. This machine base offers the processing unit a balanced and secure foundation with excellent load distribution. The mobile unit carrier, designed as a gantry, is constructed as a solid monoblock. It is positioned in the X-direction on prismatically ground rails using recirculating ball carriages. The machining unit is again mounted on the mobile carrier on prismatically ground rails and recirculating ball carriage. Axis movement: The drive system in the Y and Z axes is via ground recirculating ball screws of the highest precision class. The drive in the X axis is via a backlash-free, preloaded precision rack-and-pinion drive. This ensures balanced load distribution during the positioning process. Such a characteristic is crucial to ensure smooth movement, even during more complex operations. The movement of the various axes is achieved by brushless AC servomotors. These provide excellent positioning speeds due to very short ramp-up times. Additionally, the measurement systems are fully integrated into these motors.
