This numerically controlled machining center comes equipped with a comprehensive range of tools for milling and drilling, meeting every requirement in the woodworking sector. Main Structure: The base frame consists of a particularly sturdy, monolithic steel base, heavily ribbed and extremely rigid. The especially broad support surface is designed to provide the machine with stability, ensuring consistent precision regardless of working conditions, and the machine does not need to be anchored to the floor. The base forms a large, solid support for the moving gantry: the working unit is thus equipped with a balanced, stable, and resilient support that withstands the highest demands, ensuring superior performance and greater accuracy. The moving gantry is a solid single piece anchored to the base and runs on premium prismatic guides with recirculating ball bearings. The working unit is mounted and moves along the Y and Z axes on prismatic guides with recirculating ball bearings. Movement along the lower moving unit (X-axis) and the working unit along the gantry of the moving unit (Y-axis) is achieved via rack and pinion drive with helical teeth, resulting in greater tooth-to-tooth thrust, higher acceleration, and greater speed along the X and Y axes. The specially designed helical gearing ensures reduced wear of mechanical components and quieter operation. The vertical Z-axis is driven by a ball screw, ensuring perfect balance under dynamic load and rapid acceleration and deceleration. The main milling unit is directly coupled to the Z-axis carriage, guaranteeing the highest quality in fine machining, as any possible vibration is completely absorbed. Movement along X-Y-Z axes is carried out with brushless motors driven by static inverters, providing: – Reduced processing times thanks to improved acceleration – Greater positioning precision due to high-resolution encoders – No setup referencing required at machine start thanks to absolute encoders – No brushes, eliminating general maintenance associated with brush wear. Axis movement and overall machine operation are managed via an industrial NS module with digital data transmission.
