Climate chamber for stability testing according to ICH and GMP standards. Environmentally friendly and efficient: the ICHeco climate chamber for stability testing of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food products utilizes eco-friendly CO₂ refrigerant (R744). With this, Memmert introduces a sustainable future for compressor-cooled temperature chambers. Additionally, the ICHeco model stands out for its exceptional temperature and humidity uniformity. An air jacket surrounding the hermetically sealed working chamber enables rapid and even heat distribution from four sides. This design effectively prevents freezer burn on the refrigeration system and sample desiccation.

Stability testing in the climate chamber in accordance with ICH Q1B, Option 2 (photostability)
The ICHeco L climate chamber can be equipped with a lighting module for tests according to ICH Q1B, Option 2 (photostability). The light source is a fluorescent lamp emitting cold white light (daylight: color 865, 6,500 K) and UV radiation in the range of 320–400 nm. The daylight and UV spectrum comply with D65 standard illumination.

Controlled CO₂ supply in the ICH chamber
The compact ICH C climate chamber provides ideal conditions particularly for testing building materials and concrete. With electronic CO₂ control and automatic zeroing (NDIR measurement system), and a regulation range from 0–10%, reliable long-term tests can be performed to determine carbonation depth in concrete – without the need for large, energy- and cost-intensive test chambers.

Eco-friendly CO₂ refrigerant ensures improved cooling performance
The ICHeco chamber is efficient and environmentally conscious. Compared to R134a refrigerant systems, it features faster temperature changeover times during cooling cycles. Memmert ICH / ICH L / ICH C climate chambers using R134a refrigerant will, of course, continue to be available in parallel.
