The calender consists of the following assemblies:
- Roller assembly, 4 pieces
- Roller drive assembly
- Frames
- Travel mechanism

The roller assembly consists of 4 rollers of different diameters. The rollers are mounted on a common frame, which allows for adjustment of their relative positioning (adjustment of the gap between the rollers). The gap between rollers 1 and 2 is adjusted using regulating screws driven by MRA-63 type worm gears. The gap between rollers 2 and 3 is adjusted manually by turning the regulating screws.

Each roller is equipped with an individual drive enabling the adjustment of rotational speed.

Roller speed and plate thickness are set via the operator panel on the calender’s control cabinet.

Above the last roller (no. 4), a pressure roller and circular cutters for trimming the plate’s outer edges are installed. The spacing of the cutters is adjustable, allowing the production of plates with various widths.
