ZEMAN CZS LINE – SPECIFICATIONS
The fully automatic “PURLIN” line, ZEMAN’s flagship product, is designed for the production of open, cold-formed sections such as C-, Z-, and Sigma profiles in various widths and shapes. This flexibility is enabled by the fully automatic adjustment of the profile rollers. Raw materials processed can be coils up to 750 mm wide and steel sheets with thicknesses from 1.25 mm to 3 mm in grade S-390 or below. The machine is capable of manufacturing components up to 15 meters in length. The width of the specially hardened profile rollers can be continuously adjusted via specialized software. A fully integrated punching unit produces all types of fixing holes. The entire process is continuous, meaning the material is not stopped for operations like punching or cross-cutting. For high production efficiency, the line speed is dynamically optimized; the machine automatically decelerates and accelerates without operator intervention.
A decoiler with a maximum working load of 15 tons is mounted on a carriage, ensuring precise centering of the strip material before it enters the straightening machine.

The straightening machine, together with a crescent straightening system, levels the material, ensures the required sheet flatness, and reduces the camber on the conveyor belt.
2. Punching Area
This area features five double, “flying” punching portals, which can be equipped with 20 small (up to 40 mm) or 10 large (up to 100 mm) tools (punches and dies) for producing fixing holes.
A combination of these tools is also possible.
3. Pre-Cutting Shear
A “flying” shear is used to pre-cut holes for the main cutting shear. This process ensures material continuity and results in more precise profile shapes, particularly at the beginning and end. It is an adaptive guillotine that matches the width of the hole to be cut to the width of the steel strip.
4. Guide Carriage/SIGMA Modules
The guide carriage centers the sheet strip before entry into the roll forming machine and can be swapped for the module used to manufacture Sigma profiles. For S+ profile production, the guide carriage is removed and two Sigma modules are inserted. These modules position themselves automatically and independently on the left and right sides.
6. Rotary Cut-Off Saw
The rotary cut-off saw with hook blades separates the finished profile from the strip. It utilizes the holes pre-cut by the pre-cutting shear. As a “flying” saw, the steel sheet does not stop during cutting. Depending on the desired profile, a correspondingly aligned cutting cassette is inserted.
7. Receiving Table
The receiving table is for the automatic unloading of finished profiles from the roller conveyor. The profiles are then manually grouped into bundles. The structure allows for easy bundling of the package. The table is designed to accommodate 15-meter-long profiles and enables access by forklift or overhead crane for picking up the profile bundle.
