The NC joining modules NCFH type 2151B... feature a robust housing containing both a linear displacement sensor (absolute encoder) and an integrated piezoelectric tension/compression force sensor. The forces applied to the sensor generate a proportional electric charge in the piezoelectric measuring element, which is converted by the integrated charge amplifier into an analog voltage signal.

The drive motor is an electronically commutated AC servo hollow-shaft motor controlled by a servo amplifier. Constant rotational speed, i.e., consistent travel speed, is ensured. Standard features include block joining, position-based and force-controlled joining, as well as operation to intermediate positions.
