Description
The Instron 2663-822 Standard Video Extensometer (SVE) is a non-contact optical measurement system designed for precise strain detection during tensile, compression, and bending tests. Utilizing contactless measurement via digital image processing, it tracks markers on the surface of the specimen—without any mechanical impact that could influence test results. This makes it ideal for applications where traditional contact extensometers (e.g., with knife edges) are unsuitable, such as with thin, sensitive, or elastic materials.
The SVE is compatible with Instron materials testing machines and can be integrated via Bluehill software (depending on system version).
